IBPS or Institute of Bank Personnel selection conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for the vacancies in more than 15 banks for the posts of Probationary Officers, Clerk, Specialist Officer, RRB Officers. There are two stages in the selection process, first written examination is done and the short-listed candidates are called for personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria :


Qualification   : Candidates should have completed bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit   : 20 to 30 Years

Syllabus and Marks Allotted:

Quantitative Aptitude      - 50 Marks   - 35minutes
Logical Reasoning              - 50 Marks   - 35minutes
English Language              - 40 Marks   - 25minutes
General Awareness              - 40 Marks   - 15minutes
Computer Awareness      - 20 Marks   - 10minutes


Exam is conducted for 2 hours and also negative marks applies, for each wrong answer 0.25 (1/4) mark is deducted. No marks will be deducted if no answer is given or left blank. After written exam selected candidates will be called for personal interview.

Importance and topics covered in each category:


1.Quantitative Aptitude:
Quantitative aptitude is just to check candidates problem solving skills and numerical ability. Concentrate on all these topics under quantittative aptitude.

2.Logical Reasoning:
Logical reasoning is just to check the candidates ability to think logically ana analytically.

3.English Language:
English language is important to communicate and always matters a lot in interview process. Everyone will know the importance of english language and try to collect more words and its synonyms and antonyms, which are used in day to day life and in business level. 

4.General Awareness:
General Knowledge plays an important role which shows your personal enrichment. I would suggest you to read newspaper daily, so that you can keep an update of things happening around us.

5.Computer Awareness:
Computer awareness and skills are very important to check the candidates ability to use computer programs in an effective manner.

Tips to Prepare for Bank Exams 2015 :


1. Make a time table of syllabus divide it based on high and low priorities..
2. Initially concentrate on the basics of each categories and get good knowledge about the fundamentals.
3. Try to concentrate on all the categories at least  a  single topic in a day. So that while writing exam you can easily adopt yourself on different types of questions easily.
4. Write the list of  topics and the marks allotted on the notepad. And if you are thorough in the  concepts you can just make a tick on that. This will give a interest to study it, topic by topic of your convenience.
5. If you are weak in any specific category try to work more on it in daily basis, so that you will get used to it.
6. Once you get an idea about all the topics in each category, then concentrate more on time management. Many candidates lose their marks only because of time management. Even if you have stuff without time management, you cant achieve your goal.
7. Students preparing for the exam in papers and books, this is the only reason they cant adopt themselves to the on-line test. So try to attend more on-line test and practice well.
